
Dear »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË College Faculty,
I want to provide all of you with updated information on an outside labor organization, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and its efforts to unionize »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË’s adjunct faculty. SEIU has petitioned the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to schedule an election and the NRLB will be sending out ballots to all »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË adjunct faculty on April 17th.
I also want to share exciting news that under the terms of our agreement with The College of New Rochelle a budget was approved by the »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Board of Trustees Finance and Control Committee that will bring the lowest paid adjunct salaries from $2,200 to $3,000 this coming fall. This, along with some other adjunct salary increases at different levels, will align salaries with those of incoming adjuncts from The College of New Rochelle.
